As 2009 comes to an end, I've been reflecting a lot on the past year. I think it's fair to say that my life has been infinitely better this year because of Playing House (both from the joy it gives me to cook/shoot/write and from the friends I've made). To show my gratitude (and enthusiasm!), here's a roundup of a few favorite recipes I've made this year.
First up, the
Yummiest of Playing House 2009: Savory Edition. Check back tomorrow for my favorite sweets!
Aromatic Noodles with Lime-Peanut Sauce
Slow-Roasted Tomatoes
Chicken Piccata
Gnocchi with Summer Vegetables
Red Curry Chicken with Thai Eggplant and Bamboo Shoots
Bruschetta (and my favorite photo of 2009)
Potstickers

I thought I was really happy that it's winter, but that gnocchi sure is making me nostalgic. :-)
Mmm, how lovely! It all looks fantastic Amy - its so fun to see your picks =D.
Amy, I don't comment much because I am what you'd call "challenged" in the kitchen, but I wanted to say that I am constantly in awe of your concoctions (and beautiful photos) and I have a million of them bookmarked for that rainy day when I finally become an excellent chef! :-) Thank you for taking the time to share your creations with us!
Yea! I love that photo of the tomatoes too!
I remember every single one of those dishes... and I still want to make the gnocchi with veggies!
Yumyumyum... says the savory girl. :-)
