Just a few more stress-tastic days until summer vacation! I'll still be working full-time (technically 2 part-time gigs), but I'll have lots of weight off my shoulders and infinitely more time to enjoy life and do what I'm loving these days.

In other news, I'm starting to nail down details for our first anniversarymoon to Seattle in a few weeks! We've already booked the dog-friendly hotel, and I will be rushing to Pike's Place the second we roll into town. Any other recommendations from my Northwest-loving friends out there?

Have you been to Bainbridge Island? I took a boat there from Seattle a few years ago. It's so sweet and quaint. And there are some great dining spots along the water. I'm so jealous of your trip! Seattle is one my favorite places!
I live just outside of Seattle and I work downtown. My post today is about Jack's Fish Spot in the Market. Great fresh fish. Let me know how long you'll be here and what area you'll be in. I'll shoot you some more recs.
Also take a look on my blog under restaurant reviews. Almost all of them are in Seattle.
That's a beautiful picture of the gorgeous poppies and vase! And I certainly can't tell that it was taken on a stormy day...
Pike Place is definitely the place to go! I work in Seattle and live 20 miles North of the city. If you're bringing your dog and the weather is nice (it's been in the high 80s this last week), I would say you should visit Alki Beach = gorgeous! Also.. you can visit Pike Place Chowder (it's won awards), the original Starbucks, and some other really cool local hole-in-the-wall mom & pap shops.
When will you be in Seattle?
I am so excited for you and your anniversary!! I LOVE Seattle. I'm going in September but I wish I was going sooner. Maybe I will... hmmm.
Have a wonderful time!
Thanks for all the suggestions! We'll be there in late June for 3 days and 2 nights.
