I wrote a while back about how I was planning on making a bunch of generic birthday cards with an image from Wordle. I'm still definitely planning on doing that, but in the meantime, I got excited about another idea and ran with it. It's also meant to be a generic card, but it's even more generic than general birthday. It pretty much fits every occasion I can think of except for a sympathy card.

I was able to poke around in Illustrator enough to get from this:

This was my 3rd Gocco project and I still love it! I'm so happy that I didn't use it once and then forget about it, like I'm prone to do. My excitement shows no sign of waning, so I just need to find a use for all these damn cards.

I'm also proud of myself that I had a vision in my head and took it from start to finish via Illustrator, which still scares the crap out of me. Due to a very lucky guess, I found the right button (live trace, I think?) in 5 seconds flat and it took care of everything for me. Picking out the font was fun, too, but in the end I returned to the font love of my life, Feel Script. I think it's perfect! Plus I'll always have warm, fuzzy memories of our wedding when I see it.

By the way, I never blogged about my previous project, because it was a surprise at the time...you can read about it here!!

It looks SOOO cute in teal!! I love it. Even better than the original graphic.
